At times, it is so quiet you can hear a pin drop. Emotions can rise and fall with every letter of every word. There is a certain type of exhilaration that can be found only at the CCCUL Spelling Bee Competitions.
With some challenging words like Macabre, Obelisk, Martyr and Parfait the Central Co-operative Credit Union Ltd Spelling Bee Competition is now in the books.
All the spellers who competed during the finals held on Friday December 1st, 2023, deserve a round of applause for making it to the Bee at this level. Though nervous, the students were prepared and displayed confidence and exceptional spelling abilities.
Congratulations to Danica Gabriel of The Dublanc Primary School who successfully spelled 40/40 words to emerge as the 2023 CCCUL Spelling Bee Champ.
We also extend congratulations to the following students who were placed as follows:
2nd place: Kaydie Theodore of Saint Martin Primary School
3rd place: Kerziah Wade of Roosevelt Douglas Primary School
4th place: Sanvi Pal of Pioneer Preparatory School
The Spelling Bee Competition is the most anticipated educational competition among primary schools in areas where Central Co-operative Credit Union Ltd Offices are located.
We thank the primary schools for continuing to partner with us year after year and we look forward to hosting next year’s competition with great anticipation.
